RANTHMBHORE: T37 (tigress) was found dead on Monday in Ranthambore National Park.  Dead tigress was found in Pandu Pole area in the Kunwaljee sector (zone no. 9) in the afternoon game drive. The cause of death is still unknown. The post-mortem would be performed on today to ascertain the reason of death of this big cat. There are no external injury marks on her body. So, it seems that poisoning might be reason of death of it. She had taken her last breath before she sneezed three times suddenly, while guests were watching & shooting her in their vehicle.

It was a daughter of T15 who was resident tigress of Guda area. She found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sep 2008. Her brother T 36 who was also resident of Quaal Ji, died on 24th Oct 2010 in a territorial fight, supposedly killed by T42 another resident male.

The first litter of T15 was T21 & T12 both also are no longer in Ranthambhore. While T21 had gone missing in Oct 2007 and, his brother T12 was shifted to Sariska in July 2010.

It was a quite young & resident tigress (more than 5 years old) of Kunwaljee area.  She had moved to Kunwaljee from Guda area. She was often seen in the company of Fateh (T42).  So, we had great hope that she would be a mother soon. But, our all hopes finished suddenly with her death.

It is really great loss for wildlife loves as well as her partner T 42 (male). God bless them!
